Brussels Airport welcomes more than 800 aviation representatives for the ACI World and Europe Congress in Brussels

As host of the ACI World and ACI Europe congress, Brussels Airport is receiving more than 800 aviation professionals from all over the world, who are convening in the heart of Europe over the next few days. The airport is seizing the congress as an opportunity to promote our country’s assets to an international audience.

Brussels Airport is the proud host of the 28th ACI World General Assembly, and the ACI Europe General Assembly, Congress and Exhibition. Every 5 years, the ACI World and Europe congress takes place in a European city. It is the first time that the assembly of the aviation industry is to be held in Brussels, bringing more than 800 aviation representatives from all over the world to our country and capital.

“The annual ACI World and ACI Europe congress is the high point of the year for aviation professionals. It is an opportunity to meet colleagues from other airports and the aviation sector, and to exchange thoughts and ideas. The various trend and market analyses, debates and presentations are a source of inspiration for the participants. Being host of such an important congress is therefore a great honour”, says Arnaud Feist, CEO of Brussels Airport Company.

The visit of more than 800 aviation professionals is an outstanding opportunity for promoting the assets of our country and capital to a broad international audience: as the heart of Europe and second diplomatic capital in the world, as an interesting tourist destination and as a strong economy of key international industries including pharma, biotech and e-commerce. Promotion of our country begins at the airport.

“Airports are universally regarded as a nation's showcase, and are often the first place in the country international visitors get to see. With our large network of direct destinations to the rest of the world, Brussels Airport actively supports the position of Brussels as capital of Europe and as a strong player in the export market. This makes Brussels Airport a vigorous facilitator of tourism to our country and of our nation's key industries, including the pharmaceutical, chemical, fresh produce and e-commerce sectors”, adds Feist.
