DSV opens new 12,600 m² energy-neutral warehouse at Brussels Airport, marking a new era of sustainable growth and strategic expansion

Global transport and logistics leader DSV proudly announces the official opening of its new 12,600 m² warehouse facility at Brucargo, the logistics zone of Brussels Airport. This milestone underscores DSV’s commitment to long-term investment in Belgium and its strategic positioning at the heart of European logistics.

Opening doors to the future of logistics

Designed to the highest environmental standards, the energy-neutral facility represents DSV’s dedication to operating more sustainably and developing future-proof infrastructure. Importantly, 50% of the warehouse is dedicated to Healthcare logistics, offering fully compliant, temperature-controlled environments (2°-8°C, 15°-25°C and -20°C) for pharmaceuticals and life science products.

The warehouse opening also reflects the company’s forward momentum following the acquisition of DB Schenker, with visible integration now taking shape in key logistics markets.

DSV is also committed to working hand-in-hand with industry and academia to drive innovation. The company is a member of Pharma.Aero, a global life sciences logistics network headquartered in Belgium.

“This new DSV facility is a benchmark example of how logistics infrastructure should evolve, combining operational efficiency, sustainability, and sector-specific expertise,” said Professor Roel Gevaers of the University of Antwerp, an expert in supply chain innovation and last-mile logistics. “Academic and industry collaboration, like the one between DSV and Pharma.Aero plays a critical role in advancing next-generation logistics solutions.”

Brussels Airport expects more than 1 million passengers during the Christmas holidays. With nearly 1,060,000 passengers expected to depart and arrive (almost 3% more than last year), this is a new record for this holiday season. At the start of the holidays, on Friday 19 December, nearly 70,000 passengers are expected. They will be able to enjoy a unique Christmas concert on that day by the ‘Scaletta Choir’, the children's and youth choir of 'Scala'.
