178 destinations, 6 new airlines and 9 new destinations at Brussels Airport for the summer season
Spring may be late this year, but the summer season at Brussels Airport is starting as scheduled on March 31, with a renewed offer including the traditional sun destinations and several new routes. This summer, no less than 178 direct destinations will be served by 64 airlines. Brussels Airport is adding 9 new destinations in Europe and beyond to its network, including Singapore, Shanghai (China), Nairobi (Kenya), Bergen (Norway), Krakow (Poland), Bari (Italy), Bacău (Romania), Gazipaşa (Türkiye) and Brive (France).
Once again this summer, travellers will have plenty of choice at Brussels Airport. Exploration outside of Europe, a European city trip, a family vacation by the sea or a family visit abroad - whatever your plans and wishes are, Brussels Airport's summer offer has something for you. 64 airlines, including six new partners, will offer no less than 178 direct destinations this summer.
New products and services
No fewer than six new airlines will be flying in and out of Brussels Airport this summer. To Asia, Brussels Airport welcomes Singapore Airlines on April 6, with direct flights to Singapore. Also in Asia, Juneyao Airlines will be flying from Brussels Airport to Shanghai from July onwards, a destination that will also be served by Hainan Airlines this summer. Together, the two airlines will offer a daily flight to this Chinese metropolis.
Additionally, starting this summer, Cyprus Airways (Larnaca), Wideroe (Bergen), Amelia (Brive) and Wizz Air (Budapest) will strengthen the Brussels Airport network as new airlines.
Brussels Airlines will offer two new destinations: Nairobi in Kenya and Krakow in Poland. This summer, the airline will serve a total of 88 destinations, including 18 in Sub-Saharan Africa and 2 in North America. Brussels Airlines will be flying with a tenth A330-300 and three new A320neo aircraft. Transavia will station a third aircraft (B737-800) at Brussels airport this summer.
United Airlines launches a second daily flight to Newark, bringing its offer to four daily flights to the United States. Service to Canada is reinforced by Air Canada, that will serve Toronto four times a week, and by Air Transat, which launches a fourth weekly flight to Montreal.
Air Arabia is expanding its offer to Morocco, adding two new destinations: Tetouan and Rabat, bringing the total number of destinations in Morocco to seven.
Extensive intercontinental network
This summer, Brussels Airport's long-haul network includes a total of 37 destinations:
- 6 destinations in North America (New York, Newark, Chicago, Washington, Montreal, Toronto) served by Brussels Airlines, Air Canada, Delta Air Lines and Air Transat,
- 3 destinations in Central America with TUI fly (Punta Cana, Cancun and Montego Bay). Curacao is scheduled for next winter.
- 9 destinations in Sub-Saharan Africa, 18 of which are served by Brussels Airlines. Ethiopian Airlines also offers flights to Addis Ababa, and Rwandair also serves Kigali (as does Brussels Airlines),
- 4 destinations in the Gulf region: Abu Dhabi with Etihad, Doha with Qatar Airways, Dubai with Emirates and Jeddah with Flynas.
- and 5 destinations in Asia: Beijing, Shenzhen and Shanghai with Hainan Airlines, Shanghai is also offered by Juneyao, Tokyo by All Nippon Airways and Singapore by Singapore Airlines.
