180 destinations, 7 new airlines and 6 new destinations for the summer season at Brussels Airport

The aviation summer season is starting on 30 March. This summer, travellers from Brussels Airport can choose from 180 direct destinations, served by 68 airlines. The network also includes six new destinations, both European and intercontinental: Atlanta (United States), Curaçao, Bangkok (Thailand), Hong Kong (China), Montpellier and Bordeaux (France).

Sunny beaches, bustling metropolises, and charming cities... Beginning on 30 March, the offer from Brussels Airport will have something for everyone. This year, 68 airlines are serving as many as 180 direct destinations, including both European and intercontinental routes.

Six new direct destinations: ranging from the United States to Asia

Brussels Airport is expanding its network with six new destinations this summer. Travellers looking to explore distant destinations can already fly to Curaçao (TUI fly) and Bangkok (Thai Airways International) since this winter. France enthusiasts and city trip lovers can combine their passions with direct connections to Bordeaux (easyJet and Transavia) and Montpellier (Transavia). Direct flights to Atlanta with Delta Air Lines will be available from June, allowing passengers to connect to well-known cities in the southwest of the United States, and popular Florida destinations. Hong Kong is the final destination on the list of new routes offered by Cathay Pacific, starting from 4 August.

Seven new airlines

The launch of Thai Airways International last December and Cathay Pacific this summer completes the Asia network at Brussels Airport, which now includes seven nonstop destinations: Tokyo (Japan), Bangkok (Thailand), Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hong Kong (China), and Singapore. The new connections in Asia also provide one-stop holiday routes for travellers to destinations such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Australia, and New Zealand.

After flying to Tromsø last winter, Norwegian will start a direct route to Oslo, the Norwegian capital, from June. In addition, Air Albania (Tirana), Chalair (Brive), FlyOne Armenia (Yerevan), and Transavia (Bordeaux, Montpellier) are further strengthening Brussels Airport's network this summer.

Long-standing partners too are strengthening their network this summer season. Brussels Airlines now offers flights to 90 destinations, including the newly added Funchal (Madeira). Thanks to its 11th long-haul aircraft, the airline has more capacity than ever towards Sub-Saharan Africa with five additional weekly flights to Africa. This summer Brussels Airlines will have 50 aircraft in its fleet, including five of its own A320neos and four A220 aircraft thanks to a lease agreement with Air Baltic, which are up to 40% quieter than average medium-haul aircraft.

TUI will offer 66 direct connections this summer, adding Split (Croatia) to its network, while easyJet will launch two daily flights to Milan and Rome. The airline is also expanding its network with the new destination of Bordeaux. Finally, Vueling Airlines is launching flights to Florence (Firenze) and offering five destinations in Spain, one of the most popular countries during the summer season.

Solid international network

Brussels Airport continues to provide flight connections to an extensive international network, featuring 39 direct long-haul destinations this summer.
